Getting To Know You

We love getting to know our patrons but we also want the community to get to know us. So periodically we’ll highlight one of our staff members/librarians so that you can know the faces and names behind the books.

.) What is your name and job title? My name is Stefani Perry and I’m the new Adult Services Librarian

.) Where are you from? Well, I grew up in Granville County and attended college at UNC Greensboro. My husband is in the military so we have moved from California to Japan to California (again) and now back to North Carolina.

.) What are you most excited about working for the Granville County Library System? I’m excited to be serving the community I grew up in. North Carolina will always hold a special place in my heart.

.) Are you an early bird or a night owl? Neither! It really depends on how much coffee I have but overall I’m just your ordinary permanently-exhausted-penguin.

.) What inspired you to become a librarian? I originally started in archival studies but as a military wife I move around a lot and being a librarian is the next best career. Plus I really like serving the local community and everything that comes with it. So I swapped concentrations and here I am!

.) What clothing trend do you miss and hope comes back? Converse shoes – I grew up wearing converse with everything!

.) Do you have a hidden talent? What is it? I can wiggle my ears back and forth.

.) If you could live anywhere on earth (without worrying about money), where would you go? Paris, France. I’m a natural people-watcher and I love outdoor cafes so I feel like the French and I would get along great.

.) If you could choose to stay the same age forever, what age would you choose? 24 or 25. It’s the time of your life when you’re an adult but you’re not so old that you feel it.
