  • We will continue to explore and provide additional resources to the underserved communities within our service area.
    • Technology Resources – bridge learning gaps
      • Expand circulation of WiFi Hotspots. 
      • Provide instruction in Spanish.
    • Senior Outreach
      • Check what other county libraries are doing. Will re-evaluate after presentation in Creedmoor.
    • Adhere to the Library Bill of Rights
      • The library’s collection and resources should directly reflect the community in which it serves.
      • The staff of the Granville County Library System pledge to be aware of unconscious bias, encourage frequent employee feedback and be aware of ageism by providing a multigenerational workforce.
      • While we acknowledge that this is a process of ongoing learning, we aspire to adopt tangible, sustainable DEI policies and practices that are guided by our mission and rooted in our values.
