Notary Services
Granville County Public Library System provides free notary services for the community. The Notary Public is a staff member licensed and appointed by the state government to witness the signing of important documents and administer oaths.
What is required for a document to be notarized?

- The document language that commits the signer in some way.
- A signature that is performed in the presence of the Notary Public.
- A notarial certificate that the Notary completes to evidence the notarization.
- A valid issued government identification card or driver license.
Please contact the library in advance to verify that your document (s) can be notarized.
